‘Pensieri Dolci’ is the outcome of a 3 weeks artistic residency at Print Club Torino (october 2020). Browsing the book you’ll join Ilse on her visual adventures in Turin, and discover the capital of chocolate through her eyes.

Exploring the city, armed with her precious sketchbook, she found resemblance in the Baroque and ‘Liberty’ (Italian for art-nouveau) style architecture and the mouthwatering packaging of Turins sweets and chocolates.

These fascinating decorations were the startingpoint for her visual research, exploring patterns and repetition.

The book ‘Pensieri Dolci’ (which means sweet thoughts) contains scribbles of the sketchbook, pattern experiments, hidden illustrations, fold-outs, line drawings, and other surprises. It’s the perfect souvenir of Turin, even if you haven’t been there yourself!
